Adele Grodstein

When I paint and draw I aim to embrace the intensity and subtlety of color and the movement and rhythm of line. I grew up painting, earned a BFA at Syracuse University and worked as an art director (Ogilvy & Mather) and a graphic designer (Womans World Magazine).

Among my favorite painting subjects are the interiors of old buildings, landscapes, people, and the occasional dog. I am sculpting in stone and in clay as well.
