Dail Fried

A graduate of Boston University, Dail Fried states "My combined interest in painting, printmaking & sculpture centers on expressing the essence & heightened emotion of a past experience or remembered fleeting moment. Using paint & mixed media on canvas, paper & carved stone I wish to engage the viewer with a newly formed presence which has no prescribed boundaries and is not necessarily of a particular time and space. The end result can be compared to listening to music, whether classical or jazz...a deeply felt moment. Intuition, spontaneity are my tools as I experiment with endless variations of line, form, color & texture striving to capture the inner landscape that resonates within me."
