I am a graduate of Syracuse University with a BFA and a MA in art education from the College of New Rochelle. I have studied watercolor with Carolyn H. Pedersen, NWs, and have retired after teaching art for 32 years. My paintings are in many private collections and have been exhibited in juried shows in New York and New Jersey. Presently I am a member of ACWA, Salute to Women in the Arts, ACOR, and past president of Community Arts Association. I am a signature member of Northeast Watercolor Society, and Audubon Artists.
My goal as an artist is to capture the beauty and serenity of a landscape, or a flower, or a figure, and to share this harmony with all who view my paintings. I love the luminosity of color I can achieve with a watercolor wash, or the boldness I can achieve with acrylics .For the past seven years Tuesday mornings have been spent at the Rockland Center for the Arts painting from various models. My paintings can be found in collections throughout the United States and Australia.
